Shaheed Park 3: Grand Public Opening

With just five days remaining until the public opening of Shaheed Park Phase 3, ALHANI Construction & Trading is proud to mark the completion of one of Kuwait’s most ambitious cultural, recreational and entertainment developments.

Located in the heart of Kuwait City, Shaheed Park Phase 3 brings together 203,000 square metres of built-up area and 190,000 square metres of green spaces, creating a world-class destination designed to welcome families, host cultural events and provide new opportunities for entertainment, sport and leisure.

Delivered by ALHANI Construction & Trading as Main Contractor for project owner the Amiri Diwan, the project has been a significant undertaking since breaking ground in 2020. Working alongside design consultants TAEP and AAP, ALHANI has delivered the project's civil, electromechanical and landscaping works through a fast-track design-and-build approach.

The KWD 85 million (USD 275 million) development presented a complex range of architectural, engineering and construction challenges, including portions of the works being executed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its delivery required close coordination across multiple disciplines, integrated project management and the ability to maintain progress across a highly complex site.

Among the project's defining features is its unique aluminium spaceframe with a 3D infinity standing seam, creating a distinctive architectural presence on the Kuwait City skyline. The development also includes a 2,382-seat theatre, an extreme sports building incorporating an ice rink, indoor skydiving and a multi-level indoor and outdoor go-karting track, as well as 16 fountains and water features.

The project also includes two basement parking levels accommodating 2,388 vehicles, alongside extensive landscaped areas that form a major new green space within the city.

For ALHANI, the project represents more than the delivery of a major construction programme. It reflects the value of long-term collaboration with the Amiri Diwan, building on ALHANI's successful delivery of Shaheed Park Phase 2 in 2016–2017.

As the countdown reaches its final five days, the focus now shifts from construction to the people who will experience the destination — and to the many teams, disciplines and partners whose combined efforts brought Shaheed Park Phase 3 to life.
